Commercial production · AICP-format budgeting
The budget doesn't close at the desk.
It closes on set.
Wrap compares planned vs. actual in real time, and the actual number isn't typed in from memory at month-end by the producer — it comes straight from the crew on location, even offline.
From receipt to margin
The difference isn't the spreadsheet. It's where the actual number comes from.
| Stage | Spreadsheet | Wrap |
|---|---|---|
| Expense logged | loose receipt, in a pocket | logged in Crew OS, on the spot |
| Reaches the production office | whenever someone types it in, days later | the moment there's signal, alone |
| Advances & expense reports | separate sheet, per project | live in the same project as the budget |
| Margin | discovered when the project closes | visible while the project is running |
What's included
What no spreadsheet — or any other budgeting app — does for you
AICP categories (A–P), planned vs. actual
The same A–P sections agencies expect for a commercial bid. If a budget shows up in AICP format, Wrap imports it straight from the Excel file — no re-building it by hand.
Professional PDF, ready to sign
Terms, amount and currency in one document with your branding — not a spreadsheet exported by hand.
Real cash advances and expense reports, not "accounts payable"
The producer issues the advance with a PO and amount; the crew reports back with a photo of the receipt, from location. No generic budgeting app goes that far.
The app that actually works with no signal
A PWA built for location work: it logs data offline and syncs on its own the moment there's a connection. No desktop competitor does this.
GPS check-in, overtime that calculates itself
The crew clocks in and out from Crew OS, with their location. Wrap matches those hours against the rate and calculates overtime on the spot — nobody writes it down by hand or argues about it at wrap.
Questions
Before you ask
I already use an Excel/Google Sheets spreadsheet, why switch?
The spreadsheet handles the plan. It doesn't handle the actual number arriving on its own, from location, without someone re-typing it on Monday. That's the part Wrap automates.
My crew shoots in locations with no signal — does it still work?
Yes — that's Crew OS's main use case. It logs offline and syncs the moment there's a connection, not before.
